Federaun loop - Running and Trailrunning Arena Warmbad-Villach

Starting from the Sportpark starting point, follow the running signs along the Warmbach to the pedestrian and cycle path on the Gail. Follow the paved riverside path upstream to the Gail bridge at Müllnern. Under the bridge, continue straight without changing direction until the sign for Federaun. Shortly after the sign, turn right under the motorway bridge and immediately left again. Follow the road at the left edge of the carriageway for about 100 m to a small chapel. Here cross the street and turn into the slightly ascending road to Oberfederaun. In Oberfederaun, go straight ahead towards Doktorweg, which after a few minutes leads into another forest road. After about 25 m, a forest path branches off to the left, which you follow to the deer enclosure at Egger Wiese. At the end of the enclosure, turn left again and follow the narrower ascending path up to the burial mounds. It is now flat until you reach the birch grove. Here you turn right and follow the descending path down to the spa park at the Kärnten Therme. At the Warmbad train station, use the underpass to return to the starting point.
