The route from Stari Ledinci toward Novi Sad, passing through Popovica and Sremska Kamenica, follows the lower slopes of Fruška Gora as the mountain gradually releases its hold and opens toward the Danube plain. Leaving Stari Ledinci, the trail moves through wooded hills and old farm clearings before reaching Popovica, a small settlement on the edge of the national park where forest paths meet panoramic viewpoints over the river valley. As the route continues, the landscape becomes increasingly shaped by centuries of human presence: terraced vineyards, orchards, and traces of Ottoman and Habsburg-era life appear as you approach Sremska Kamenica, a historic town nestled between the mountain and the Danube. Here, elegant old villas, church towers, and the proximity of the Freedom Bridge signal the transition from rural slopes to the cultural orbit of Novi Sad. The final stretch descends gently toward the river, offering wide views of the Petrovaradin Fortress and the city skyline, making this stage a graceful passage from mountain tranquility into the vibrant urban heart of Vojvodina.
From the village of Stari Ledinci, the trail descends from the wooded hills of Fruška Gora toward the Danube. The slopes are dotted with clusters of weekend houses and small vineyards, reflecting the long tradition of recreation and wine-growing in this region. Gradually leaving the hills behind, the route continues toward the river and the urban outskirts of Novi Sad.
