As a starting point, you can choose the Old Town or some other stop along the way. Cycle in the direction of Trebnje via Mirna Peč. Follow the Temenica River, then under the motorway just before Trebnje, take the road towards Mirna and continue in the direction of Mokronog, where you descend into Šmarješke Toplice from the north side. You can go for a dip in the warm Klevevž thermal spring. You pass Otočec Castle and Struga Castle, and continue towards Novo mesto along the Krka River.
