This "over hills and dales" route is an invitation to take your time...
To listen to the splash of a fountain, match your steps to the rocking rhythm of a flock and let your gaze roam. A rare immersion in the atmosphere both calm and invigorating of the mid-mountain…
Start from the Maison du Temps Libre.
Go down the main street, rue des Quatre Maisons, to the town hall crossroads.
Continue downhill passing in front of the town hall until the temple. After the temple take the path that goes to the right towards Solomont to Perheux following the yellow triangle.
Pass below the cemetery and continue on the Solomont path. Keep following the marked path.
Cross the hamlet of Solomont. Continue on this trail which will lead you to the Perheux pass (shaded part of the route, in the forest). At the Perheux pass, go to the tree under which there is a bench. You have 1 hour of walking left once you arrive at the pass.
Turn right onto the drivable path (unmarked) "chemin de la carrière", leaving the tree with the bench on your left. It climbs diagonally and follows the edge of the forest, offering a magnificent view to the right of the Bruche valley. Keep straight ahead until the shepherd's hut. Above the hut, in the large bend called the Marmottes, you might see small mammals in spring.
Cross the D414 road, walk on its left side along the road for about 300m. Take the path on the left then immediately left again the "no entry except for operators" track and return to the Maison du Temps Libre via the route des Haxes.

The Perheux pass is a mythical place at the crossroads of paths. Until the 18th century, alleged witches (haxes in dialect) were burned there at the stake.
