The family-friendly bike tour starts at the municipal office in Jois, a charming wine village directly on Lake Neusiedl, just a few minutes from Jois train station.

Right at the beginning, the route leads on well-developed bike paths through picturesque vineyards and open meadows. After a short ride, a stop in the beautiful cellar lane of Jois is worthwhile to discover regional wines and local specialties or simply enjoy the atmosphere. The route continues along quiet paths towards Winden, where small playgrounds and shady rest areas for children and families are offered. Along the way, there are repeatedly magnificent views of Lake Neusiedl and the gentle hills of the Leitha Mountains.
In Breitenbrunn, charming village streets and additional cellar lanes invite you to take a short break and explore. The route is mostly flat, making it easy for children to manage and allowing for relaxed cycling.
The family-friendly bike tour ends atmospherically in the cellar lane of Purbach (only a few minutes from Purbach train station). The historic cellar lane with its whitewashed wine cellars and shady spots invites you to rest, have a snack, or enjoy ice cream – a perfect ending for a relaxing bike trip with children.
If you ride back to the starting point in Jois, the route covers around 23 kilometers in total and can be comfortably managed in half to a whole day. Thus, the tour combines natural experiences, culinary highlights, and exciting stops, making it ideal for families and leisure cyclists.

Observe traffic rules: obey traffic lights, signs, and right-of-way rules. Use bike paths when available.

Keep distance: maintain sufficient distance from other road users, parked cars, and obstacles.
Adjust speed: especially in bad weather, on unclear paths or in groups.
Drinks and breaks: drink enough and take regular breaks to avoid fatigue.
