Winter hike - Enzianweg

This short round starts at the Ettal Monastery and initially follows the road towards Oberau. Shortly before leaving the village – at the bus stop – turn into Alte Bergstraße. After about 150m, turn left and hike uphill to the beginning of the Enzianweg. From there, it goes over hilly terrain through the forest, with partly beautiful views of the Graswang Valley. At the end of the Enzianweg, you meet the hiking trail leading to the Ettaler Manndl. Here, however, follow the trail to the left towards the valley. Immediately afterward, take the right path (high path) and walk on this trail around the entire monastery complex back to the village to the starting point.
