Kapellenweg 7

From the station, head east along Immenstädter Straße to the edge of the town. Here, keep right and walk along the broad pedestrian path beside the street. At the first junction, turn right and follow the path to the next junction. Here, turn left and walk along the tracks to the railway crossing. Cross the tracks and go right along the street to the St. Georg chapel in Knechtenhofen.

Return the same way and after crossing the tracks, keep right. Now follow the signs east over Salmas and Lamprechts to Wiedemannsdorf. There, stay on the main road heading east until the B 308. Pass underneath it and you are now in the Konstanzer district, where the St. Jakobus chapel shines in new splendor. Continue west along the small street through Osterdorf to Thalkirchdorf.

The parish church St. Johannes Baptist is located in the town center. Leave Thalkirchdorf heading west and follow signs to Oberstaufen. At the Hündlebahn parking lot, cross the B 308, turn left and follow the small street to the railway crossing. Turn right over the tracks and then up a short slope to the hiking trail. Here, keep left and follow signs further uphill to Oberstaufen, the starting point of our long hike.

Alternative: From Thalkirchdorf, cross to the other side of the Konstanzer valley and take the bus back to Oberstaufen.
