Erzgruben-Köbele-Runde in Burladingen

From the parking lot, the trail leads uphill past the ski lifts to Köbele, the highest point of the hike. From here you have a beautiful view in a north-westerly direction over the Heufeld with the Kornbühl in the background. If the weather is fine, you can look down into the Steinlachtal valley as far as Tübingen. Here it is worth making a small detour to the Köbelehütte of the Schwäbischer Albverein, which is also open to the public on some weekends during the year. There is also a nice playground and seats invite you to take a break. The hike continues to the mountain cross. There, a branch path (Schlossweg) leads down to the Salmendingen castle ruins, the "Altes Schloss". On an information board you can learn interesting facts about the history of the "Altes Schloss". We follow the forest path to the "Auf Berg" floor pits. On an information board we can learn more about the mineral resource "Bohnerz". The path continues along the edge of the forest and the meadows back to the starting point.

coming from Balingen/Rottweil: 

Take the B27 exit B32/Sigmaringen/Gammertingen/Burladingen and then drive onto the B32. In Killer, turn left into Hofstättstraße. Follow the road until you reach the centre of the village. Turn left into Seeheimstraße (K7162). Follow the road in the direction of Ringingen. At the next crossroads turn left towards Salmendingen (K7161). Follow the road until just before Salmendingen turn left into the Geißhalde hikers' car park.

Coming from Stuttgart/Tübingen: 

Take the B27 exit Nehren/Dußlingen/Dußlingen-Maltschach and take the third exit at the roundabout (L394). Follow the road in the direction of Nehren. At the intersection with traffic lights, turn right into Reutlinger Straße. Follow the road until shortly before leaving the town. At the railway station turn left into Nehrener Gässle. At the next roundabout, take the third exit towards Sonnenbühl. At the next roundabout, take the first exit towards Talheim (L385) and follow the road. Drive through Talheim and continue to follow the road until you reach Salmendingen. Drive through Salmendingen and shortly after leaving the town turn left into the Geißhalde hiking park
