eBike MNCA stage 7: Col de Turini - Nice

No time to daydream, a technical and dynamic start, montate-cala style (up and down) on tracks and trails along the summit ridges, with stunning sea and mountain views. You can also wisely reach Peïra Cava via the D2556 road! Arriving at Peïra Cava (1420 m), a historic altitude station for the people of Nice, you take the D2566 for 7.5 km up to the Saint-Roch pass (991 m). There, a 7 km descent on the D15 leads to the Engarvin junction (620 m). On this small road, you reach the hamlet (710 m) and continue along a magnificent mule track with slightly technical hairpin bends. After 2.7 km, in a fragrant garrigue atmosphere, here is the Saint-Michel pass (996 m). The abandoned village of Rocca Sparviera, a legend of the Nice region, faces you! The ascent continues below the Serena and Férion ridges on an aerial track (watch for crossings) about 4 km to 1276 m altitude. Now descending towards Levens! In a Mediterranean atmosphere, a track leads, in 10 km, to a small communal road (600 m). From this point, via small streets (watch the markings!), you reach route M19 and from there the Grand Pré de Levens (546 m). The beautiful village of Levens is nearby: a well-deserved break for a meal, visit, and battery recharge! You then skirt the Grand Pré, to join road M19, then Sainte-Claire at 1 km. There, right, and after 1 km, you find on the left the continuation of the itinerary. 4 km of track to reach the M719 at La Rohière (464 m). Here, right, then beware, after 2.2 km, it turns left sharply (unless you want a short round trip to the panoramic village of Aspremont 1 km away?). After 4 km, you reach the M214 (500 m). A dilemmatic choice: visit the old panoramic fort of Mont Chauve (840 m) 4 km away? Or continue the route? Descend via M214, then M114 to reach the Saint-Michel area junction (316 m). Then take a left onto avenue de Rimiez, continuing to really enter Nice’s urban area. You cross residential and historic districts of Nice, passing by the Cimiez amphitheaters. Watch for signs and traffic! By final stairs, here you are, in the heart of the city, boulevard Carabacel. Here you join the bike path leading to the Promenade des Anglais. Finish with a flourish along the bike path of "la prom'" up to the I LOVE NICE of Rauba Capeu!
