GTA Variant of Alta Valle dell'Isorno: Stage 3A Malesco - Alpe Cortevecchio

From Malesco,head towards Toceno and climbto the last houses ofPromez, before entering Valle di Arvogno. Themule track startsabove the road (directions) and climbsinto the coniferous wood to arrive inColma di Fuori. Continue as far as the last hut and from here take the dirt road on the right that leads to La Pianaski resort. From the Refuge (1706 m), proceed in a northeasterly direction to the ski slope that becomes an easy mule track and climbs northwards to Bocchetta di Muino (1977 m). From Bocchettadescend rapidly towards the small homonymous lakes (CAI Emilio Greppi Refuge - Closed). From the lakes of Muino, on the right leave the main route of Stage 3 headed towards Fondomonfracchio and climb up a very short stretch to Bocchetta di Ruggia, where there is a beautiful view over Valle Onsernone. FromBocchetta di Ruggiafollow a lovely flat traverse, which leads to PassoFontanalba. From here,descend across Alpi Camana and Cantonozzo untilthe stream ofValle Agrasino at an altitude of about 1600 m. Climb slightly the opposite slope until you meet trail L00 forBocchetta del Lago Gelato. Take this trail on the right and follow it for a short stretch along the course of the streamto then rise up on atrail that is not too visible among the pastures and finallyreach Alpe Cortevecchio, home tothe Bonasson Bivouac
