Via del Mare Astigiano (VMA)

The Via del Mare Astigiano is proposed as an itinerary through those territories that have been and still are strongly characterized by water. These are territories that in the past have shared the presence of water to a considerable extent. The discovery of archaeological finds, the study of the morphology and existing vegetation, have allowed us to reconstruct the history of these places over the years. The tracing of the itinerary is based on the ridges which include routes already included in the regional hiking network. There are various points of historical-cultural interest along the route, represented by significant historical centers and architecture of predominantly medieval origin, such as the Costigliole Castle, but also baroque. There are also older traces from the Roman era, such as the historic streets of Montegrosso.
