The municipality of Pecetto Torinese, located on a slope of the hills southeast of Turin, enjoys a mild climate. It is famous for the production of cherries.
Its territory is made up of a strip five kilometers long and just under two kilometers wide, which slopes down from Colle della Maddalena (located at an altitude of 700 meters) and from Mount Capra, to the village of San Pietro on the border with Trofarello. It is crossed along its entire length by three small rivers which originate in the north in the area of the Hermitage, and which descend towards Cambiano and Trofarello: the Rio Costo, the Rio Pontetto and finally the Rio Martello.
The town center stands on a hillock 400 meters above sea level, in an isolated position with respect to the Hermitage and Maddalena.
