From Sargans station, follow the signposted cycle paths to Mels. There begins a steady but gentle climb to Weisstannen. The closer you get to Weisstannen, the more often you can also see the rushing Seez.
...From Sargans station, follow the signposted cycle paths to Mels. There begins a steady but gentle climb to Weisstannen. The closer you get to Weisstannen, the more often you can also see the rushing Seez.
In Weisstannen, keep to the right side of the valley and ride towards Alp Siez and Alp Walabütz. Just at Alp Siez, turn left and take the last section to Alp Walabütz. With an unobstructed view of the impressive 230 m high waterfall "Isengrind," you now reach Alp Walabütz at the foot of the Foostock.
Sargans station - Mels - Weistannen - Alp Siez - Alp Walabütz - Weisstannen - Wangs - Sargans station
Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is advantageous, as a long descent follows a longer climb.
Ride with foresight and behave respectfully towards other leisure seekers and road users.
The motorway junction Sargans/Mels/Vilters/Wangs can be reached via the A3 (Zurich-Chur) or A13 (Sargans-St. Gallen).
The transport hub Sargans is excellently accessible by public transport.
Paid parking is available north of Sargans station.
