Route - discovery of the Artistic Routes in Gascogne Toulousaine
Poziom trudności: 2
Starting from the L'Isle-Jourdain Leisure Center, take the bike path alongside the N224 (beware of a railway crossing). At the roundabout take the 3rd exit. Turn right onto "chemin de la Maniou" until Clermont-Savès. The fresco by PEDRO "La danse", a still life surrounded by dancing figures... (on your right).
Pass in front of the church. At the stop sign turn left onto D16. At the junction turn right towards Razengues. Continue straight ahead. Turn right towards Beaupuy. Enter the village. The fresco is on the wall of the community hall. The work by KAZI-K "The Hunt" is a striking animal shape... is it a wolf? A fox? In its shadow the silhouette of a human appears.
Continue straight on. At the cemetery turn right towards L'Isle-Jourdain. At the intersection with D654 take the bike path alongside the A380 route to Ségoufielle. Upon arrival in the village, the work of Jérôme SOUILLOT "Je reste là" gradually reveals itself and invites you to daydream or wander through the bushes and groves.
Cédric welcomes you for your lunch break at La Grange de Célice. Enjoy your meal!
From the town square take the forge path up to D9. Turn right. Continue on the D9 until the Pignère roundabout. At the roundabout take the 1st exit. At the first intersection turn left onto "chemin de Rebastide" (beware of a railway crossing). At the roundabout take the 1st exit. At the traffic lights continue straight on along "boulevard Carnot". Admire the fresco by SUPAKITCH and KORALIE "Oasis" with its poetic dimension linked to the unconscious and the inexplicable.
Turn right onto "rue Sainte Clotilde", then right again onto rue de la République. In the town square the Town Hall called "le petit capitole" welcomes you. The old grain hall houses the European campanology museum (collection of bells, carillons, sleigh bells... from around the world). Opposite it stands the house of Claude Augé, initiator of the Petit Larousse Illustré. At the corner of the town hall turn right onto "rue du 14 juillet". Cross "avenue du commandant Parisot" and take "Rue de Save". You will notice the timber-framed facades, the Panat castle (private property), and the parc de la marquise (where the work of local artist Isidore DUFIS is located). At the end of rue de Save turn right. The work "The Inside Mess" by KAZI K and PEDRO where they confront colors, shapes, and materials like words... Opposite this work is the MJC. Push open its door and discover the collective frescos by local budding artists painted on the MJC walls.
Continue to your left. Cross the bridge. Immediately turn left. On your right is the velodrome, which in the 1970s hosted the first criteriums. At the yield sign, turn right. At the swimming pool turn right. You are back at the leisure center.
On the wall of the Tourist Office the fresco by Virginie LOZE "the lake creature" takes us into a legend with this aquatic creature that spreads knowledge through the eye it holds in its hand (a nod to the local heritage marked by the presence of Claude Augé, creator of the Petit Larousse Illustré).
