7th Stage Weser Cycle Route: Bad Oeynhausen - Petershagen

Start the seventh stage of the Weser Cycle Route in Bad Oeynhausen and cycle along the left bank of the Weser River to Porta Westfalica. Along the way you will already see the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument, the landmark of the town of Porta Westfalica. Take a detour to the famous monument on Wittekindsberg by bike or leave your bike at the foot and explore on foot. The view is worth it. With Porta Westfalica you leave the Weser Uplands and cycle now into the North German Plain to Minden. Here you will find the largest double waterway crossing in the world. The Mittelland Canal crosses the Weser here at a height of 13 m. You can experience this on a Weser boat cruise including lock passage in the well-known Schachtschleuse. Then continue your bike tour and cycle through the Mittelweser region to Petershagen, the stage destination.
