The National Nature Reserve of the Saint Ladre Pond

It takes just a few minutes to leave the Picardy capital and "immerse" yourself in the preserved setting of the National Nature Reserve of the Saint-Ladre Pond at Boves.
The path is accessible to all with a fairly short route, wooden footbridges that allow immersion in the different habitats of the reserve! The Saint-Ladre Pond Nature Reserve is located in the Avre Valley, a tributary of the Somme. In 1979, it became the first site in Picardy classified as a state nature reserve. Peat extraction for heating, during the 18th and 19th centuries, created the ponds that now make up the reserve, replacing the meadows. Other activities such as cattle grazing, bleaching on the meadows of woven linens from the surroundings, and cutting of helophytes also shaped the marsh and its ecological characteristics. A trail allows you to safely discover the reserve. (wheelchair accessible)
Restriction: the use of bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, segways, electric unicycles, hoverboards or rollerblades is prohibited within the reserve perimeter, except for any device necessary for the mobility of persons with reduced mobility. Dogs are strictly prohibited on this path, even if on a leash.
