Water and Stone
Poziom trudności: T1
If you are interested in flora and fauna, you will be delighted! A true jewel of the Southern Vosges, the trail allows you to discover the Grande Pile Regional Peatland Nature Reserve
The start is at the parking lot of the Saint-Germain town hall. A secondary road and a forest track lead you into the heart of nature. First, you discover the ponds of Petit and Grand Maurice, two areas rich in biodiversity. The community house marks the beginning of an educational trail, “the 1,000 Times Walk.” If you want to learn more about the natural treasures and understand the ecosystem, we advise you to stop at each sign to read the provided information. When the loop closes, you find yourself in the middle of the Grande Pile Peatland Nature Reserve. To learn more, you can stop at the interpretation station.
