The Klingebach Gorge is especially beautiful when the spring snowflakes bloom and in autumn with wonderful colors on the Kattenhorner Bühl, with a wide view of the Untersee.
This route leads from the ship landing stage Öhningen past the canon monastery through the Oberdorf to the Klingenbach Gorge and to the Kattenhorner Bühl to Wangen (bus stop and ship landing stage), so that the return can be comfortably done by public transport.
The path leads past the Öhningen canon monastery, the town hall, through the Oberdorf, Kirchbergstraße, Döllenstraße to the entrance of the Klingenbach Gorge. In the Klingenbach Gorge itself, the path splits towards Kattenhorner Bühl.
At the end of the gorge, go right over the hill to Kattenhorner Bühl with its impressive panoramic view. At the most striking spot, a barbecue area and a bench invite you to rest. The hiking trail leads to the Kattenhorn - Aspenhof road, which continues right towards Wangen. At the crossroads, with a firm view of the lake, the path leads right directly to Wangen on Höristraße, to the bus stop or ship landing stage.
