Ośrodek narciarski Gerlosstein-Hainzenberg / Zillertal Arena

The relatively small Gerlosstein ski area offers families with children and those who like to take things slowly plenty of skiing fun away from the crowds. The Gerlosstein tandem cable car takes you from Hainzenberg (between Zell and Gerlos) directly to the ski area. Both the Zillertal Arena ski pass and the Zillertal Superskipass are valid.

Gerlosstein toboggan run
A proper winter holiday in Tirol has to include some serious tobogganing with a break at a mountain hut. And sporting enthusiasts can check out the longest toboggan run in Zillertal. The trip up with the Gerlossteinbahn cable car to the start at an altitude of 1,650 m is comfortable and fast – and you’re ready to whizz down the 7 km toboggan run. The toboggan run is floodlit, so you can also pop in to one of the cosy rustic inns.

Every Monday and Thursday there’s a touring evening at the Arbiskogel hut in the Gerlosstein ski area – a meeting place for all ski touring fans!

Snowtubing on the Gerlosstein

There are other ways to glide down the slopes other than on skis or a board. The other amazing snow activity in the Gerlosstein ski area is called snowtubing. All winter fans can now try this fun activity on specially prepared runs (approx. 200 m)! And the best part: the snowtubing run can be used free of charge and as often as you like.
