In the middle of greenery lies the Kierspe district of Rönsahl. With its Historic Distillery, the St. Servatius Church in the style of Bergisch Baroque, and charming listed half-timbered gables and villas from the powder mill era in the 18th century, the pretty village is always worth a trip. From here, the route leads through meadows and forests and partially along the Wipper stream and the Lingesetalsperre. The dam originally served river regulation and industrial water supply, but today is mainly used for recreational activities.
At the starting point is the Rönsahl distillery, which was family-owned until the 1950s, before the Krugmann Korn Distillery from Meinerzhagen continued the operation until 2002. Then the building was unused for several years. Since 2008, the cultural and technical monument has served as a village community center and event venue. The house's own Rönsahler beer is also brewed and served here.

The starting point is the parking lot at the Historic Distillery Rönsahl. From here, turn left on the B 237 towards Kierspe. Turn right into Meienbornstraße and follow it to the sewage treatment plant. There, turn left into the forest, cross a large meadow, and enter the forest again. Follow the Wipper to the Schmitzwipper sewage treatment plant. Continue straight along the forest. At the next crossroads, take the left path and continue walking along the forest through Friedrichstal. This leads you to the dam wall and along the Lingesetalsperre towards Lambach. At the crossroads, turn left and at the next fork, stay left until you reach the village of Benninghausen. There, turn sharp left at the next intersection. At the next fork, the path leads you right deep into the secluded forest. Along the way, you cross a service road. At the next crossroads, keep right and then right again. On this path, cross a road once more and turn left at the next junction. You reach the fish ponds and the idyllic, listed oil mill (1804) with its water wheel. Behind the bathing beach, walk left onto the Strandbadweg, follow it right to the end. Then take the B 237 left back towards the Historic Distillery.
