The GrazMuseum is a meeting point for all those interested in the urban development of the city of Graz, in its political, economic and social history as well as in art and culture with a vivid connection to Graz.

It is considered a historical museum with the claim to show history from today's point of view and with today's formal means in an atmosphere that only a museum can provide. The museum sees itself as audience-oriented, but not populist.

The GrazMuseum is located in the baroque Palais Khuenburg, a place steeped in history, where the heir to the Austrian throne Franz Ferdinand was born in 1863.

Changing special exhibitions and permanent exhibitions underline the omnipresence of urban culture and cultural history.
