XXL swing on the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area

At the beginning of summer 2022, the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area installed a new attraction accessible in summer and winter: a giant swing, unique in the Alps.

At a height of 16 metres, this activity is reserved for thrill-seekers from
16 metres high, this activity is reserved for thrill-seekers from the age of 8 years old! With up to 3 passengers on board, the swing is pulled progressively by a cable to a height of 16 metres, leaving time to enjoy the breathtaking view of Mont Blanc and the neighbouring mountains. When the countdown starts, the adrenalin rises until the moment of release into the void, accompanied by a sensation of free fall. The swing starts to move at a speed of up to 20 km/h! Installed at the arrival of the Jaillet gondola, access is easy via the ski lifts or on foot in summer, and on skis in winter.

Tétraski: a unique ski-chair in Europe

With the support of the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region and the ATMB, the association Loisirs Assis Evasion - which has been working for years to make outdoor sports accessible in Combloux and the surrounding area - has been able to acquire the first Tétraski in Europe.

Developed by the foundation of an American university, TETRADAPT, this wheelchair-ski allows people with severe disabilities to ski independently thanks to a joystick or breathing control. The arrival of this equipment on the slopes of Combloux, thanks to the Loisirs Assis Evasion association, is a further step towards access to winter sports for all and is fully in line with the accessibility policy pursued by the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area for many years.
