Cross-country skiing and biathlon in the stunning silence of the mountain villages

Bionaz, the last municipality in Valpelline at1600 meters, is a nordic resort, that is the well-equipped for the nordic sport and far away from the masses of skiers. The village has excellent trails that are suitable for every technical level. A trail - it is also equipped with a biathlon facility - allows you to visit the ski touring to go through the woods around the lake Lexert.

The trail runs through special natural scenery, where you can maybe run alongside world champions and Olympic athletes of the sport who have chosen the location for their training. The total extent of the trails is 10 km, which are divided into three circular tracks on each 2, 3 and 5 km.

When you run on these trails through forests and plains, you pass lakes and magical scenarios, places which make the physical effort worthwhile. The trails that run between the main town Ollomont (1340 m) and the snowfields of districts and Rey Vouéce total of 7.5 km are characterized by impressive views: the imposing mountain range that separates the upper Ollomont Valley of Switzerland, and the especially from the Mont Velan (3708 m) and the Grand Combin (4314 m) is dominated.

The trail at Valpelline (1000 m), that starts and ends in the village of Pravillair, satisfies due to its characteristics of approval at the international level, both the beginners and the more experienced skiers.
