In summer, Ehrwald is a paradise for hikers and bikers. Different levels of difficulty make the routes very attractive for all kind of athletes. The indoor climbing wall is a good bad-weather alternative and ideal for training. The adventurous hiking trail "Zugspitzi am Gaisbach" is very popular among children. Along the trail, there are different stations where kiddies can learn interesting things about nature and the region.

In winter, athletes can choose between three ski resorts: the Ehrwalder Alm, the Wetterstein/Sonnenhang and the Zugspitze Glacier. Tobogganing by night or cross-country skiing are further highlights.
